M & M Professional Moving Complaints

M & M Professional Moving was starting to impress me, but recently all I am hearing is complaint after complaint. I have received two complaints on this company in less than 24 hours.

M & M Professional is owned by Michael Denski. They are out of Warren Michigan. Michael was starting to do the right things with his company. They lad an official business name with their city. And they had …but it turns out that they are just completely hogwash and ruse to get more business. Typical actions from a scam company.

They are also continuing their affiliation with A Better Move a notorious company from the same area. Between these two companies I have received the most .

Here I am go to list some of the complaints that I have gotten on them:

Worst experience ever! We hired them to load our 16ft rental truck. We had hardly any furniture and a lot of . Should be an easy and quick load, right? They took over five hours! We were supposed to have 3 guys working for us. One was the “boss” and he didn’t do anything except sit on his butt and talk on his cell phone. One was an old guy with an obvious bad back, and he was slower than molasses> I also caught him smoking in an upstairs bedroom during one of the numerous “breaks” he took. The other mover was a young guy who mostly stayed in the truck arranging the load and didn’t do much else. I also caught him taking numerous “breaks” and not doing anything.

Do not hire this company! They are a rip-off!

Michael Denski’s M&M Professional is absolutely NOT a reputable company. Their drivers were 3 hours late to start with and then they overcharged me by an hour, which, shame on me, I did not notice until AFTER I had TIPPED them and they had left. The worst, though, is that my 1 year old table was scratched big time during the move, right on top. When I pointed it out to the guys, they said to make sure that I called the insurance number on the invoice form. There turned out to be no number on the form, so I called owner Michael Denski. He said he would send someone out to work on it for me, but the person never showed up and never even called. So, I called Michael Denski back and he said that they (I guess Denski’s crew….since supposedly they have been in business for 13 years – – yeah right!) would come and get my table to take it to have it worked on, but once again, no one showed up. I have left a message every day for about a month now and Michael has not returned any of my calls.

Also, I did not know that my elderly neighbor had spoken to one of the during my move and engaged them to help her daughter move that following week. I found out that they tacked on a bunch of fuel charges that she was never told about and they demanded a tip from her as well. I suppose they would have done that to me if I hadn’t have been stupid enough to give it in the first place.

DO NOT USE M&M PROFESSIONAL !!!! AND, IF YOU DO, EXPECT TO GET CHARGED MORE THAN AGREED TO AND DO NOT EXPECT ANYTHING FROM THEM AFTER PAYMENT IF ANY DAMAGE OCCURS. I PERSONALLY WILL BE WATCHING FOR THEM ON CRAIGSLIST AGAIN TO WARN PEOPLE.

M M is NOT a reputable company! I would advise everyonr [SIC] to BEWARE of them. Last Saturday they my family. There quote said nothing about fuel charges or insurance charges. I have a 55′ big screen that I gladly paid the extra insurance on only to have them drop it – the casing is cracked and the picture now has big black lines running through it. I called them several times before Michael finally agreed to send someone out to look at it – did he – NO! I have called several times every day but he is avoid my calls. This company is a total scam – stay away from them.

Another interesting tidbit about this company; most of the complaints that I get on this company come from women. Are they singling out the women because they think they are weaker or can be intimidated easier? You’ll have to be the judge on that one.

Just thought you should have the info.

Good luck with your move.

Jamie Lynn Spears Moving In With Britney?

“Is Jamie Lynn Spears Moving In To Big Sis Britney’s LA Pad?” asks HollywoodLife, which often never knows the answers.

Picking up on an old and wrong story from the National Enquirer – that Gossip Cop busted a few days ago – HollywoodLife reports that Britney Spears’ mom, “Lynne Spears is reportedly so unhappy that her youngest daughter is dating 28-year-old businessman that she’s packing her up and shipping her off to live with big sis Britney in Los Angeles!”

The accuracy-challenged blog simply regurgitates quotes from a so-called National Enquirer “source,” who also claims the move is because “Lynne wants to see her daughter get back into show business.”

And while HollywoodLife pulled a Perez by cutting-and-pasting another media outlet’s story without fact-checking it, Gossip Cop reached out to a friend of the , who says tales of Jamie Lynn permanently into Britney’s L.A. home are just “not true.”

Once again, Gossip Cop is unmoved by HollywoodLife’s (lack of) reporting.

A Move From Hell

EAST ISLIP, N.Y. (WABC) — Every room of the Barber family’s East Islip home is bare. The reason? says all her family’s are being held hostage by a company.

The family of four from Phoenix Arizona last summer, hiring a small California company they found on the internet, called Swift and Storage. They had the mover store their goods until October when their house was ready.

“I just called looking for my belongs,” said flustered homeowner, . “I could not get in touch with anybody. I just called and called. I started panicking.”

“what happened was the company went bankrupt,” added Tina’s husband . “And they gave all our furniture to another company without letting us know.”

After an exhaustive 4 month search, Tina tracked the other company who had her goods. It was Hackensack-based Sovereign Trucking. But, there was a catch.

“We must pay him an additional $12,000. It was just crazy. Sovereign’s rep told, you don’t pay the money, we auction your stuff and the end of the month and that was it.”

So we visited the Hackensack office of Sovereign Trucking. But it’s rep wouldn’t talk on camera. But over the phone, it’s owner agreed to cut his price in half to around $6,300.

We got the head of New Jersey’s Warehousemen and Association involved, who called Sovereign directly. “They are entitled to some compensation,” said Mr. Russo. “It is fair but the amount they are entitled to is going to depend on the paperwork.”

But Sovereign never produced an agreement between the original mover, Swift a possible violation of federal regulations.

And last week, a paid Sovereign a visit just to talk about the Barber’s bill. And he was successful in getting it pared down to just $2,000.

And we were there when went to East Rutherford to retrieve his family’s life. But bad news for . “Everything is damaged. Everything was neglected from water damage or just thrown. Everything just busted and ruined.”

Every dresser scratched, every bed broken. But what was most important , the family’s photo albums, somehow survived in tact.

Even though the original company went out of business, we found out it still had insurance so the Barber family is going to try to pursue a claim through the insurance company and hope some of this will be covered. —-

An Honest Mover!

March 8, 2010 by admin

You know I love it when I am looking at other and I find a completely honest mover. Believe it or not, this is sometimes a rarity. But, today in looking through Craigslist I found a co0mpletely honest mover…

Okay, actually he is not a mover but a laborer (he does say he works for a company.) Still, it is refreshing to see this on Craigslist. While there are many that advertise there that are honest the number that are dishonest far exceeds our small click.

Anyway, here is Bill’s ad that he posted in the Battle Creek Craigslist:

Are you looking to move. Let me Help you with that. Loading / Unloading / Packing I can handle it
PACKING SERVICES…….WHAT A PAIN….. LET ME DO THE PACKING FOR YOU……… I DO NOT UNPACK THOUGH
I currently work for a company which I can not disclose on here but I definately [sic] know what im doing
YOU SUPPLY THE U-HAUL AND I WILL TAKE CARE OF THE HARD PART
I am willing to drive the truck for you but i will not be renting them for you
Maybe you only have a couple of items and maybe its a whole house. Either way is fine.

My Rates:
$75.00 per hour with a 2 hour minimum
$25.00 traveling and fuel charge
EMAIL TODAY
I am uninsured so i cant offer coverage on the items but i will do everything in my power to keep you and your articles safe and happy.
SEND ME AN EMAIL OF WHAT YOU NEED AND I WILL EMAIL YOU A QUOTE BACK
TO MUCH TO LIST….. I OFFER FREE ON-SITE SERVICES- JUST SHOOT ME AN EMAIL — MY NAME IS BILL

I can forgive the grammatical errors for the fact of his complete honesty.

I do think his rates are a bit high for just a laborer, but heck, if he gets the business then more power to him. I love the fact that he comes right out and tells you that he is NOT insured. Some many would have not done this.

Although he refuses to tell what company he works with I would hazard a guess to say it is Greater Michigan as they are the only one is Battle Creek. (If I am right Bill I promise I won’t tell Mike.)

Just thought I would write and talk about this.

Twitter Relieves Moving Day Stress

February 18, 2010 by admin
Filed under Moving Tips and Advice

It is common knowledge that is stressful. Based on leading information it is one of the top three stresses in life just below divorce. So when you can find day stress relief it is a major advantage. I find an article written by a young lady describing how she used Twitter to help relieve some of that day stress. I hope you like it.

Twitter – My Experience
by Deirdre Reid

January 14, 2010

When I hear people disparage or dismiss Twitter, I feel compelled to tell them about my experiences with Twitter and how my move to Raleigh this summer was an entirely different (and better) experience because of it compared to my move to Sacramento in 2004.

When I arrived in Sacramento to accept a job at the California Building Industry Association, I didn’t know a soul except those I interviewed with. Slowly I widened my social circle but for a long time it primarily consisted of those whose paths I crossed — work friends and neighbors.

My move to Raleigh had been in the works for a while because my boyfriend is here. To prepare for my move to another city where I knew nobody, except his family and best friends, I started following and chatting with locals on Twitter. By the time I here I was following (and was followed back by) dozens of Triangle tweeps. When I got here, one of them organized a lunch with four other Twitter acquaintances to meet me. Then I had beer and coffee dates with many others. I found my apartment through a Twitter friend, and learned about my hair stylist, shops and social events all via Twitter.

Today, just six months later, I find myself with many friends and acquaintances, most of whom are entrepreneurs I first met on Twitter – a stimulating bunch of “grab the gusto” type people. My social calendar is now always full. When I look back and compare this to my Sacramento move, the difference is astonishing. It feels like I’ve lived here longer than six months because of my new network.

Twitter has also given me a circle of professional peers from across the US. We chat on Twitter, read and comment on each others’ blogs, participate in Twitter chats together and some of us are even Facebook friends now too. When I met several of them in real life this past summer at Buzz 2009 and the ASAE Annual Meeting, it was like reuniting with long-lost friends. When you meet someone first on Twitter, you have time to get to know each other, both personally and professionally. By the time you meet, you’re not meeting as strangers but as friends who just haven’t met in real life yet. If this has happened to you, you’ll know what I mean by a Twitter hug — it happens all the time.

The tweets of those I follow have led me to blog posts and other knowledge resources I wouldn’t have known otherwise. Our twitter chats allow us to discuss successful practices and cutting-edge ideas. Twitter is now the best professional (and personal) development source in my life.

Contrary to what some say, Twitter isn’t all about what you’re having for dinner. However, I’ve received a lot of good dinner ideas and recipes courtesy of Twitter. I’ve gained so much from Twitter that I try to help others get the most out of it too. It takes a bit of time to find the right folks to follow and to figure out how to use it in a way that works best for you and those who follow you, but it’s definitely time worth investing.
